HoloGirlsVR started releasing movies in early 2016 and after a somewhat promising and adventurous start, have slowly ground down to almost a complete halt in early 2018.   

Initially, HoloGirlsVR was heavily focused on image quality and chose to attempt to stitch multiple cameras together into one final, high quality image.  

The problem with this approach, was the seaming technology was not up to par, resulting in a tightly confined "box" or "cone" that the performers had to carefully contain themselves in, or risk having a portion of an arm cut off by the various seam lines in the image. 

After struggling to make this tech work for much of 2016, HoloGirlsVR moved to a more conventional setup, but this move also brought in new visual issues such as scale problems and overall, I would have to rate the bulk of the catalog as being beta quality on tech.  

Some of the movies look quite good, but you will be able to find visual anomalies if looking for them in more movies than not. 

Strong points at HoloGirlsVR would be a unique flavor and unique content for the space.  There are some top tier performers featured and the content wanders quite a bit in scope. 

Weak spots at HoloGirlsVR would be the aforementioned beta tech that just never performed as well in use as some of the other solutions developed at other studios as well as having the "clippiest" collection of videos in the space, where movies began to be cut into small clips for the purposes of stretching content and drip feeding in 2017.

The weakest spot for me in early 2018, is the fairly sketchy vibe, lack of regular content updates and a total shutdown of their communication on reddit.

Finally, they have also turned to poor quality, non exclusive 3rd party content from VR3000 to supplement their waning release schedule in 2017, making up roughly 50% of the content at the moment in 2018.
